Hi all,

I am looking to put fenders on my some what street legal sand rail. I got pulled over the other day and the cop kept harping on the fact that I have no fenders. Does anyone know of anywhere to buy them or is this something I am going to have to fabricate?

There are so many variables.
Is it possible to post a picture?

I don't know of any off the shelf units.
I can always come up with ideas or suggestions if I can see it.

This is a topic that you might have to cross connect with another group.
Street rodders that run old school Model "A" and "T" stuff have some solutions for there open front wheels.

I'm thinking right off of welding some brackets to your front brake backing plates and come up to a small motorcycle fender. This fender set up would follow the wheel up and down and turning left and right. A little mud flap might finish the tail on the fronts.

For the backs you need to find out how much coverage you have to have. Maybe cutting the bottoms out of some large plastic garbage cans or some plastic barrels. Might even get lucky with the color.......

Got to a farm supply store and look at stuff for farm tractors or galvinised water tubs or stock tanks. All kinds of shapes around there that might work.

All of these ideas would require some fabrication.

Do You have a High School nearby that has a metal shop class? Maybe they could take it on as a project.

Some of the colleges have auto body classes and night school that allow freedom for personal projects.

Just some thoughts.

A picture is worth a thousand words.
I'll see if I can find you a link to someting.

Hard to believe that allow my manx with this body to pass as fenders. keeps me somewhat clean but I don't drive in the rain.
