I am getting ready to install my Weber ICT's on my engine and am having some issues. I am running a S/P engine with all the stock cooling tin. It looks like when I put the mainifolds to the studs on the heads, the cooling tin is caught between the manifold and the head. I figure this isn't the way to do it? Do I need to grind out my cooling tin a bit so it will clear the manifolds? Or, do I just bolt it all in with the tin between the head and manifold?

Sounds like you have to do a little clearancing. You dont want the tin between the head and the manifold. You will just have a leak and never get it tuned. CLEARANCE IT!

I just ran into the same problem with my dual Solex 35 PDSIT's. If you have crappy EMPI tin like mine you can bend it with an angled screw driver without much more effort then bending tin foil...ahh EMPI, for once you worked in my favor.
