I have an 89 Wolfsburg Cabriolet that was in an accident in December. The frame wasn't damaged, but the repairs will cost more than I can afford to get it up and running again. I want to put it up for sale, but frankly I'm not sure of its value in the current condition.
It needs a radiator, front bumper, new vert top, and some cosmetic work (front left fender was pretty seriously bent in the accident), but otherwise is in good mechanical shape. I had put new brakes on the day we were hit by the uninsured motorist.
Any thoughts on value? Any offers? I am in Hollywood, CA. |

Can anyone help me out here? the 1989 Wolfsburg editions all had racing seats. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure they are recaro. Custom interiors, custom paint, etc.

Why not try the classifieds section? Ask for best offer. Don't know how much traffic this forum sees. This is the first time I've been here in months but I check the classifieds every day.

Cool Deal, I was just hoping to get an estimate of value before I listed it in the classifieds. That and I still need to take a picture of it ;)

Your best bet is to take the blue book value, subtract the cost of replacement parts and labor, then knock another 15-25% for the hassle the new owner has to put in.
