my 89 cabriolet's clutch pedal has become very heavy/hard to push. I have been told that this is a sign of the clutch needing replacing. This is a mechanical clutch, so should I be able to adjust it manually and get some more life from it, or once the pedal goes hard, is that the indicator of time for a new clutch. If it can be adjusted, is this a simple task and if so any tips on where to look and what to look for.
thanks! |

| When the pedal goes hard, replace the clutch,it can not be adjusted, you can only adjust the free play on the pedal, so put in a new clutch and it rides like a new one again!(replace the complete clutch including pressure plate)good luck! |
