Never have had a problem with shipping from Matt, but of two transactions, both were unsatisfactory. The first was on eBay, I bought a pair of Cibie euro lights. When I got them, they were two totally different lights. Different lenses, different backing, one had a diffuser and one didn't. I felt that should have been pointed out in the auction, but , as Matt said, "I didn't say they were a matched pair." Of course, you couldn't tell from the picture.
At about the same time, and before I got the auction winnings shipped, I purchased an early "1500" badge for a T3 from Matt on here. It was advertised as NOS, and again looked good in the picture. We agreed on $65, and then he hit me for $10 shipping, which I thought excessive, but I thought maybe careful packing and Priority Mail Insured could run that. I got it two weeks later in an envelope, with 87c. postage on it, bent to smithereens, heavily gouged, with three of the four mounting studs bent. The fourth was broken.
Never could get a response on that one. I honestly don't believe the guy gives a dam. |

The problem above appears to have been resolved. |

| Its nice that he resolved his previous problem(s), but my problem is not resolved. I started this thread because it appears he still has ads posted here on theSamba. I have never been ripped off here before (knock on wood) and would hate to think that this guy would do it to someone else. Fortunately, it was a reletively small amount of $$ so I probably won't be inclined to be a debt collector when I am in Buffalo next month. |

| I'm in the same boat with the rest of you. Matt sent me the wrong mirror, i have emailed him a few times and recieved the "it's goimg out t his week" reply. I have recieved nothing in the mail though. Just to be fair I did recieve a set of early heater boxes with the wrong mirror that were NOS and were in excellent condition. |

Finally... after weeks of waiting with baited breath, my part came from Matt. This is the mirror that he told me was "In pretty good shape." Ok now I am really pissed. I would have almost rather NOT received anything. But tonite this little gem showed up in my PO Box.
This is the mirror side. If you look closely, you can almost see the camera in what's left of the silvering. Most of the reflective stuff is rusted off and when you shake the mirror, it sounds like a maracca.
This is whats left of the elbow. Not a bit of chrome left on it. As my neighbor said, "I wouldn't even do coke off that thing." |

Yikes!
I'm guessing he never offered a picture before you purchased or you didn't demand one?
There's a second thread on this guy:

That mirror is garbage and I have never seen a worse one.
I'd pay $1 for it though to have as a display piece for laughs. |

| For a mirror "pretty good shape" I paid $25. Its too bad that I actually received the thing, otherwise I would file a fraud complaint with paypal. This guy Matt is a complete scammer. |

Yeah I just sent him this:
"Got your mirror. What a complete piece of crap. Dude, you are a rip off and a scammer. After more than a month of waiting and you sent me a part that is completely worthless. I want my money back, but I know that is about as likely as buying icecream in Hell.
BTW- there are a few threads about you in the Buyer/seller forum now. Not a good record."
I doubt that he even cares. Anyone wanna by a "pretty good mirror" for $.50? |

You still can, I think it's something like "part not as advertised". I had to do this against someone else earlier this year. We ended up agreeing on a partial refund as Paypal requires you to return the part and I did not want to do that. |

For all of you who have taken advantage of my posting of the 63' parted know that what you got was a great deal! As for Jimmy Notch I have nothing bad to say about him I rec. a phone call from Jim in Seattle while out on a weekend and he said that he had seen my ad for parts avail. He had asked if I had an early mirror from the car I said yes I am sure I have one. I had told him $25 plus shipping, I sold him the mirror for $35 shipped which is true. If that was not a fair deal he did not have to buy the mirror! It is like going to see a car that you expect to pay $400 for and the guy says $2000, you are not going to pay if it is not worth it. I have yet to hear anything from Jimmy regarding a refund till today, which is not a problem. Jim you even said that you are coming here soon, come over and I will give it to you personally. As for you other two out there complaining about product, the same goes for you it is great you are vocal to everyone else but me but that will not get your problem solved. I will gladly take my euro headlights back that you paid $45 shipped, no problem! And the 1500 badge that I said was not sure if it was NOS but looked to be in NOS condition I apologize it did not meet spec. I have heard nothing from you regarding this before, so as far as I was concerned their is no problem. The only one that I feel deserves an apology is ibjack regarding the mirror. The mirror that I sent was the one in the pic that you were pointing out that you were interested in, and I have been meaning to get this taking care of with a lack of time. I have decided to not continue on selling any more of my type 3 parts due to either a lack of time and patience. For all of you that I have dealt with in the past and are satisfied thank you for your business and for you unsatisfied customers speak up and let’s take care of our problem!!!

| No I do not, and I don't think a dash pad is worth $400 or do I think armrests are worth $150 or a fender is worth $200 so I guess it is all just gone out of control. |
