Found on flickr, looks like it's in TN...

I was at this yard today to look for a part for my project, and I managed to get the chassis number. It appears to be a 58.

I found this 61 on the internet, and to my suprize after sitting on stands in the driveway for 20+ years it only has two small bubles of rust.....and never been hit anywhere..... :) In fact I'm making this my next big project. I'll post pictures after the media blasting....

Since is does not have the original motor, I'm thinking resto- custom....

if i'm not allowed to post my own, i'm sorry in advance, but i want to make sure the ghia community sees it, cause i dont think it should be missed...

why were they made like that only in brasil and not for the rest of the world?

Found this 68 GHIA through a fellow VW nut. It was a started restoration then it was forced to have to sit outside for a bit of time. Originally from Kansas. The owner is a Vw guy also and said he would rather see something done with it then see it sit and rust. So we struck a deal got almost every part for the car with it all boxed up.

my buddy helping me drag her home

The new home for the Ghia nice and dry

Found a 74 in the woods of Maine... It's in remarkably great shape, has some repairs, nose is ripply on the inside :(

Still, it's complete, and needs a new harness, seats, and the usual massaging for use this spring as a roadster. It will be for sale in a few months.

Spot patching the floor. If someone wants to go full resto, it's an easy fix.

Saw a green lowlight in a barn with a fatchick bug while cycling this weekend. My dad wouldn't let me stop and ask about it. Something about "personal privacy".
Me: "Dad, people who let classic VWs rot like that don't deserve privacy."

Yes the VW SP2 is a very cool car. Not a KG in name but was made in the Karmann factory in Sao Paulo.

A friend of mine here in the UK has a very fine example of one:

Very cool indeed. I'm undecided about which I want more; an SP2 or T34. If it was an SP2, I would definitely put more of a performance twist on the engine build... it's been a while since I built something radical
