yeah. I am hoping someone steps up to clarify.
It is my understanding that true EARLY Deep 6's should have part # 901.361.012.00 with a 36mm positive offset where as LATE 6's should have part # 911.361.020.10 with a 36.0mm offset.
If they have the same offset, what makes the 901 wheel "deep"? and are there other early 6" wheels that have a different part # and different offset?
TIA |

what makes them deep is the Lip, the lip on a deep 6 are big, 3 inchs approx.
Late 6's the lip isnt as big
Here is pictures of my earlies, if you click on the picture it will show full size you can see the deep 6's how big the lip is
Here is a picture of a Late 6, 911.xxx.xxx part number
notice how the lip is nowhere near the depth as a deep 6

The pics and the description of the lip help a lot BUT my question remains, are all Early 6's deep or are there 2 different 6" early styles |

From what i have seen in person
I have seen Deep 6's with hearts with 901 part number
i have seen a deep 6, looks exactly like a early deep 6 but no hearts and has a 911 part number
and i have seen the flat 6 with 911 part number
To me, Earlies deep 6's has to have the hearts |

Get the date codes too. This should be interesting. AFAIK, the last deep 6 was made in 3/71. |
