It's a matter of $$. He is willing to sell it for less than he has in it. But I really don't have any extra $$$.

Thank you so much... I only have one problem.
It doesn't seem like 4 years have gone by since I started this project. I am kinda sad that it is just about over. I need to get it fine tuned and tie up all the loose ends. Then I will surely enjoy it every time I take it out. I purchased Corey's wheel balancing plate and I will be trying it out this week. My wife and I are looking for a new house with a GREAT BIG pole building. That will hopefully cure the problem at work since I will be able to work at home again. Next up..... (after $$ comes together) a ragtop.

Thanks Buck !! And you too Bobby J !!!! I balanced the wheels the other day and had the front end aligned today. All ready for the wedding today ! My oldest son Mike will be driving it from the church to the reception hall. I also borrowed my bosses 1970 El Camino for the wedding too. 2 Black cars, 2 kinds of COOL !!!!
This has been a great adventure. This is the first bug I've ever owned and driven. And it is just awesome. Here are some pics from yesterday.
Enjoy, Steve |

That looks amazing!
Just one question, why don't you have hubcaps on it? |

When they were in stock at Wolfsberg West... I didn't need them. Then they were out for awhile... the price shot up.... then I didn't want to spend the big $$$$ so I waited them out... they are back in stock again priced right... but I didn't/don't have the extra $$$$ right now. I have bought the best quality parts so far for this Beetle, so I didn't want to just spend the $$ on the cheap Brazilian caps. Also, I was going to wait till everything was adjusted right before I put them on.... so here we are !!
I kinda like the look of it for right now also. But I will be getting the caps for Christmas this year, whether I have to buy them for myself or not.

My oldest son got married last Saturday (9-18-10). And he told me when he proposed that the bug needed to be done so he could drive it after the ceremony. Well, the happened.. and here is a pic of the Bug at the church.

Congratulations to you and your son! How about some more shots of the El Camino and Bug at the wedding? Did they tie cans on the back and drive away afterwards?!
