The Bugbrella.

The title to to the ad should read "Now Available! You too can overheat your VW with these snazzy air vent covers!"

More over, just the fact that they typed the words: "Engine Air Vent Covers" :?

Just blows me away (pun intended). :P

All of his ads are insane! $250 for a pair of broken semaphores? $3500 for a rusted out '56 ragtop?

Well now... wait a minute, wait a minute... that oval is "worth about $12,000-$16,000 if redone correctly" :D

I think it's also worth about $1 million if... you know... it's sold with a briefcase sitting in the back seat filled with about $1 million dollars.

He is just a bit north.of me. Based on what is still available around here I say he'll get very close to his asking price.

Yeah- 2k should be two sets in factory sealed unopened packages. My NOS 'throwout' windows had no DNA on them for $400.

I can't get over the use of 68 and later doors/mirrors, I can hear it now... "These doors are custom, it's an extra $$ grand per side..."

$46k but has TMI carpet? lol You could order every single German part from Wolfsburg West for that car and do a perfect mostly original restoration on that car for half that.

bugguts Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:29 am

I'd love to see the receipts for that build;I'm sure the shop tripled their fees since it's a 'rare' '67.
