That is just insane!!! Just because I spend 2 days changing brakes doesn't make the brake job worth 2 days pay
I wish it worked that way!
That car certainly took a lot of work.. And unfortunately, it's a completely custom build that today can be done much cheaper with manufactured kits. I'd hate to see what happens when some water gets in the trunk of that thing in a downpour.. ZZZAP!!! Key West to San Francisco, 85 miles between stops, and how many days would be required just in charging time?? Might as well just have a small RV generator mounted on board to keep the batteries charged---ah.. but then again, you have to use gas.. |

| I had a really nice '59 bug for sale here on the samba. All original, no rust, everything worked. It had about 5,000 views in the month it was here. I got plenty of emails but no one came to look at it....I put it on craigslist yesterday and sold it today for the full asking price! As the guy was driving away he said he felt he got a steal......... |

I went and looked at this bug when it was for sale for 3,000 or trade. Now this guy paid 3,000 for it and hasnt done anything with it and expects to get double... Definitely not worth 6. It is however a nice solid east coast car but has some issues to be dealt with. Wiring was haggard running down the driverside heater channel when I saw it, and it was hit in the rear that crinkled the decklid. Obviously the decklid was replaced and that is not original dealer tag. |

Or is it just me?
I would say that price would be more reasonable if it had solid pans and heater channels... 3500 for a car with that much rot? LMAO...P.T. Barnum was a smart cookie. |

Only a real "dip stick" would buy this for $45 when you can get one from the Gene Berg website for less than $20:
