| No it is a perfect solution, I just didnt know that they existed, what years were they. Also, I suspect they did not come in diesel, that would be my limiting factor, I need diesel. Thanks for your r eply....-Bird |

I don't think that British & European specification, VW Vanagon double-cab pickups, are particularly rare! VW diesels are also fairly common. Why not explore the European advertisements!?!

| These can be picked up pretty cheap in Europe. Check this site: www.mobile.de Only downside to owning them is the lack of spare parts (as opposed to regular Golfs) and thirst for gas. |

For some reason car companies don't thing Americans want cars with AWD, Turbos, Style, or any combination of the three.
That's why we didn't get the mk2 rallye or the ford focus rs or the evo's before evo VIII or skylines of silvias. |

Quite a few people have done it. This is a new site to his old and he is changing things a bit, so just keep looking. It is a syncro VR6 Turbo, was supercharged. Very fast. I wish the old site was still up.

Not quite. Only MK1 75-84 here in the states were called rabbits. When we got the MK2 car in 1985 they called them golfs and continued until the MK5 came out when they brought the "rabbit" name back.
So to a Yank if you call a MK2, MK3, or MK4 a rabbit they will wonder what you are talking about (we are a dense people  ) |
