Just picked up the 67 about 2 weeks ago. Very clean car which has only had two owners. Car originally came from Texas. Car has had one repaint, but still has the OG interior. Only rust is under the battery.
Our plans are to pull the body off and fix the battery section. Then to follow behind that with Por15 on the entire pan. Next will be to add a 5 inch narrow beam and a set of rims. We are also going to redo the interior since the original is showing signs of wear. Probably will add some cool accessories to the bug as well.
Watch for the bug soon. When finished it will be offered up for sale to fund our vert project.

Hello
Scoops it looks pretty 67 to me.
One in that kinda condtion should be kept in stock original condtion since you are the third owner. Not dropped chopped or alterated. Just my opinion.
But it is yours so chop it drop it do with it what you please. |

| If you want to make money on it why don't you return it to stock ? I think the world can do without another slammed roller skate beetle. |

| Alan and Darby are spot on. If you are going to narrow and "slam" something, do it to a 65 or 69----leave this nice 67 be. Narrowed and slammed will be soon be just another dated mod like one piece windows, wink mirrors, Holley-Webers and Empi 8 spokes. All those are fine and have their place but but please consider making this loveable 67 close to stock.... |

I noticed the antenna too..the block off plug is there on the drivers side next to the windshield yet someone sometime back mounted a vertical antenna on the Passengers side.
I also wondered how they wired up those speakers in the door panels..they drill holes somewhere and run the speaker wires to the front?
It is easy enough to check VIN numbers to verify the year, but it does look like a 67 from the pix except for a few things probably changed during it's life such as the deck lid...the front fenders are also aftermarket...easy enough to tell from the picture using the finger width check from the horn grills. |

Some time the dealer would install these antenna, because they had more of those types in stock. The factory never sent to many of the others.
For all of you that say leave it stock thanks for the advise. Maybe we will just do that! We will see. Anyone want to place a offer on it let us no..
Thanks |

| Well if this helps: I spent 3 months on E-bay and Craiglist looking for a 67 and I can tell you I totally ignored any cars that were modified. I was looking for a, original 2nd or 3rd owner, rust free 67 with an intact dash and good lines. I found one and paid premium but it was 100% worth every penny. |

I dont know it was like that when we bought it.. I have seen alot of these year with the same antenna. I read a article talking about alot of the 67 bugs still have the factory plug antenna and that dealers put the side mounts due to not having the other type.. |

| It's either a 67 or some clever and sneaky degenerate went out and transplanted 67 seat belts into this car.... |
