Just this week the wife was yelling about how much $$$ I spend on my 2 (Yeah, all 2 of them!) VWs, since I can "only drive 1 at a time." I replied that we only eat 1 meal at a time, but thats not how we shop for groceries.

If I were you "Mike's Boss", I would not ever tell the Mrs. about the SO-42 that is hidden away in Phoenix somewhere. Get rid of it before she can ever look at it. You stand a better chance with a bus the doesn't have a hole cut in the roof!

my girl loves my 77 westy just as much as I do, ALMOST. But she'd really rather me get a 60's style westy. dont mean to rub it in ,i just had to tell you all though......

My girlfriend tolerates my VW life style. She's only bad if I spend more time with the bus then I do her. Fortunately, my bus doesn't break down that much so it's not really an issue.

Now she's really good at spotting VW's. She knows the difference between splits and bays and ovals, splits and supers. Her father used to have a squareback in Pennsylvania when she was young so she has a soft spot for those.

When I started taking my wife to VW shows she could not believe how many VW's still exist, especially this year when over 400 cars showed up, now she cant wait to go to shows with me...

Good example. I worked on that bug every day for a month straight. I didn't spend time with her so she got mad. The bug was known as the bitch from there on out until I sold it.

My wife thought I was out of my mind for buying my 66 bug "It's ugly, It costs to much and needs to much work" It's starting to grow on her now, and she doesn't bug me (to much) about the cost of stuff! I just showed her some of the cool cars in the gallery and said some day mine will look as good! LOL

If it were not for my 71 Westy I would not of had anywhere near as much "lovin" as I would have without it, when I was in High School there was no where to take girls, since everyone lived with their parents, So I can give credit to my VW for helping out my love life significantly! If your bug does not arouse your woman maybe you should try a camper bus! Show her what it is all about and she will cum around.

Jealous ptsinclair? I was just givin the guy some advice, my girl gets pissed at me all of the time for spending all of my time and money on my numerous VWs, how do you suggest he changes how his wife thinks about his VWs?

Sorry to say Chris, the "I wouldn't be caught dead" comment was about a Kombi..and it was CLEAN compared to my "newest" aquisitions...

So, any other ideas? She won't come to club events or shows...doesn't like camping...doesn't like the smell of gas..<sigh>
