Hello everyone,
Well, Here's my '72 Super. I dug it up from where it had been sleeping for the last 20-something years and drug it to my home. I've been working on him slowly but surely since early this year. His name is Dauntless, after the war-era plane that was resurrected from the ocean somewhere... When my car was parked, it had a baby bush growing next to it, which had since grown up and over the top of it. I absolutely love how the paint has weathered away to a dull silver and rusty patina. I'm never going to paint this car. I might put an old suitcase rack on top of it, but the car will remain pretty much untouched on the outside. I've pulled the stock motor out of it (which still turns), replaced it with a known running motor from my other SB. I've completely removed/cleaned/replaced the fuel system as well as the brake lines. The drums were in great shape mostly so I turned them and added new shoes. I'm installing the new master cylinder this weekend. (hopefully) I've purchased and installed a new 44 weber IDF carb and am planning on jetting it way down so that it will work better. Of course I've replaced the cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, coil and removed the points and installed a pertronix ignition setup. I can't wait to finish up the wiring and get this puppy started!

nice super. I had a super once. Had to work on it every week if not every day but that was due to it being in an accident.

nice ride. You going to drop it?

My addiction is listed in my signature...

Nice ride! Very cool look with the faded paint. I only wish that I could get a car in that great of shape here in Canada...

Yeah, there is virtually no panel or body rust except for what you see under whats left of the paint there. I took some more pictures of him today while I was installing my master cylinder and re-shimming my generator. Should be finished with those two projects sometime next week. I'll post the new pics later tonight.

Well, it's lived in the high desert for the last 20+ years. dry as a bone. And the funny thing is that the head liner is still in awesome shape. Only three small cuts in it that I did. ](*,) Anywho, here's a couple shots from today... I'll get some decent interior and sheet metal shots later on.
