| How do you get the hood springs back on! I tried for an hour with no luck and some sweat and choice words.There has to be a trick I'm not seeing. |

a guy on ebay, sold me a factory tool for installing these. he must have more because ive seen a couple more go by since then. ive havent used it yet so i couldnt tell you more.

| Someone gave me a tip on how to do this by using a pipe with a slit in it and using it on the outside of the hinge on the spring to lever the tension off of it. This has to be done with the hood off. I'll let you know in a few days how it worked out. Thanks for posting the pictures of the tool. |

Are you talking about and early front spring? If so I have the factory manual and I have done it!! Let me know and I will fax you the manual page and explain how I used a drain cover lifting tool!!
