I have a berrian buggy. I am looking to buy some new rims and tires for it .What brand are you running and size. My bolt pattern is 4x130mm. I would like to fill up my fender well as much as possible without rubbing. I am looking for street tires. Also what is your backspacing?
Thanks

3.25 backspace. could do another 2 inches probably. 10 inch wide rear, 6 inch front.i have 4 bolt also. got the rims from stockton wheel. the make them custom to your specs but take a LONG time. took me 5 months to get these.

275/60X15 rear, 195/60X15 front.

firestone indy rear. diamondback redline fronts (cooper).

I got 295/50/15 on back and 225/60/15 on front, on 15x10 and 15x7 CMS wheels..I think the backspacing is 3.25 also. They fill up the wheel wells pretty well..I could probably go wider on the back though to like a 315, that would look phat!

I use 33x12.5x15 Desert Dog's in the rear for a nice stance and wheelbase!

that must be with a decent lift though right? 31.5s will almost rub on a stock setup.

I just ordered a custom set from Stockton Wheel for the front of my buggy. But, tell me it isn't so...5 months for them to come ??

Oh well, I have a wobbly set on there now, but they are working. I was just down in Death Valley doing some photography, and since I was camping, I took my van. The day I left I went out the backside (east) and down towards highway 15. I saw these awesome-looking dunes off to the left that must have been 1/2 a mile wide and 3 or 4 miles long, and maybe 700 to 800 feet high. They were called Diamond Dunes, and they were a designated off-highway vehicle recreation area. Man, I wished I had towed my buggy down with me

5 months. calls 2 or 3 times a week once i started getting pissed off after 2 months or so. but once they got here they were really nice. the good news is it wasn't too bad cause the buggy was in the paint shop at the time and it was there longer!
they are heavy though. might think about aluminum or something to lighten it up.

It has a 3in raised tube frame to fit the tires

Did they charge your card right at the beginning? Cause they charged my card the next day after I ordered them, and said it could take a few weeks. I don't like paying in advance for things, since most places don't charge your card until they're getting ready to ship. Seems like a bit of a scam, though I understand they've got to use the parts to make it wither way. Oh well...it's a done deal now.

If you can live with painted wheels, Diamond Racing makes a wide variety of sizes with custom backspacing - and at a reasonable price. I had 16 X 8s with the 4 X 130 lug pattern made for the rear of my kit car and the "look" is just what I was seeking. Nice people to work with too.
They have a website with size and price info.

I have a quick tire Q. I really like the height of the 275 60 15 over the 295 50 15 and I have 10" rear wheels (IRS rear).
But everytime I look up the size rim applications for different brands of that tire, they dont recomend a rim over 9.5" wide.
Is this a concern?

stockton told me i could go to 12 inch rims if i wanted with them. i have that size on 10s now. no problems at all. bag down real nice for the sand too.

Here is my buggy with 275/60-15's on 8" wide rims.
There is not much bulge left. Seems to me 10 inch wide rims would be pushing it.

Well, I have to unfortunately back up the comment on Stockton Wheel taking a long time to get your custom wheels to you. They're still not here, (over 6 weeks when they said 3 to 4) and last week they told me they were all done and just needed to be shipped. Today they said they're scheduled to go to powdercoating today and should go out by Friday ... uhh...left hand ... do you know what your right hand is doing??

I'm runninmg 265/5/15 on 10" wide and they look perfect! I'll be running 295/50/15 in the rear on 12" rims and they look great as well. I need to get the wheels widened yet.
