ok all,..i am trying to find out how rare the Red needle speedo is?
i was told it was a canadan VW type three issue. any clues?

Red needles gauges were used until early '64 on all Type 3s.
Not rare at all. |

| I thought this was an "s" model thing. I know my 65 square "s" has them and that beast is bone stock. Any ideas? |

| If your '65 Squareback has them, they have been changed or someone painted them. Remove one of the gauges and check the date stamp on the back, |

| I like to look of the red needle speedos, can any tell me if they will fit correctly into a 67 squareback? |

| They will work but the clock and gas gauge will be 6 volt, which is a problem in your '67. |
