Once again, this is NOT an Australian badge. There was a guy in Australia that had 2 of these badges, but they came from Germany. |

I have a few different Wolfsburg crests. It seems I have 4 slightly different "blue" crests.
The two on the left have a dark azure blue sky, the two crests on the right have a lighter blue sky. Could be faded in the sun, I couldn't say for sure, but it looks like they were made this way.
The two upper crests are also different from the two lat the bottom.
For better detail in comparison see the second picture.
Notice f.i.:
The direction of the tail tip.
The slope of the wolfs back,
The width of the gate,
The height of the long "crown" bricks,
The shape of the bottom brick on each side of the gate,
The number of bricks in the second layer.
Which one would be correct for my april 1951 split?
Picture three shows two different black crests. However, I suspect the one to the right of being a repro... Maybe some of the others are too?

| My Guess is: on the pic with the 4 blue crests, the bottom 2 are 1955 and earlier, and the top 2 are 56-60. |

So what is the story behind this one? |

I don't know the meaning of the badge story. All I know is that I missed a chance to buy one :? because I did not go to a club meeting one time. Someone brought in a large box of them to the meeting and sold them for $15 or $20 apiece. Around 4 of my friends bought them and I'd like to find one now for my car.

| That would have been a nice score! How long ago was that? I paid $200 for mine a few months ago. |

:? Don't think so. My '53 original crest is the same as the top two. |

Have you changed your crest Bob?
In this thread you had the "left pointing tail, four bricks" version.

You're right. I was counting the wrong row. Those pictures in that first thread were not as clear as this one.

I know, but they are only worth what someone else will pay...right? Here is a pic of a reproduction that BBT was selling, and only $30 a piece.

Do any of you recall what hood badges people were selling at BC in 1999? I saw some people selling some badges there with red in them, but can't swear they were the same as the red/green one. I think they looked a lot better than the BBT one above.
