I have a great 63 model panelvan and im trying to locate as many other owners worldwide.

There was a great site called HOCHDACH.Com run by a lady off here but i have lost contact with her as I was willing to resurect this site.

Think she was from something like PLF!!!!

If anyone can hook me up and indeed give me any more info on their buses i would be grateful

That site was one Dawn put together. Unfortunately in all the turmoil after our high roof was wrecked, she didn't get the domain name renewed and someone snatched the domain for one of those bogus spamlike ad based useless sites. She had a lot of computer issues around the same time, so I'm not even sure if she has the stuff on her computer or not. I'll check it out and see. Maybe I can get the stuff back up on one of my sites. After the domain got snatched she was pretty sad about the whole thing and didn't feel like putting the site back up.

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner on this, but you've just re-inspried me! I've been wanting to take better pictures of the bus 'cause it's not really pretty right now and has become a temporary storage unit. Anyhow, it was made February 7th of 62, originally imported to Canada. It's M codes are 387, 083 (it's NOT a walk through either), and of course 222. The VIN is 899***. From what we know, it was originally sold to a juke box dealer in western Canada.

Here's my '65 Danish Army highroof.

rusty, I'd love to see the hochdach.com website mirrored somewhere...I've gone through some of it on archive.org, but not all is available. Good stuff.

For some reason, I've heard the term "hightop" applied more to the bays with the tall fiberglass camper tops (adventurewagons?) and the term "highroof" applied more to the '67 and earlier buses.

Agreed.
Highroof = 67 and earlier
Hightop = Bay window...

That being said, her'e a couple more Highroofs.

Rob's Highrrod ambulance.
This one was bought at the Classic in 96 /97 (maybe) by Dawn and Richard and traded for their Highroof that later got totaled.

This Highroof

is now this Highroof.....

The Bus I copied (somewhat) Their both RHD Swiss Postal Buses.

The "new" PLF Highroof. This one is a saleflap.
I'm still trying to find one for myself...

This one I missed.
It went from Norway to Belgium to Iowa.

Although not a "real" Highroof I love this thing.
I saw it "restored" for sale in Japan awhile back but was unable to communicate to make a deal.

I believe its a RHD Swiss Postal bus also.

Was hoping this one would come up as I nearly bought this from Dave in Switzerland a few years back but was rather put off by the 3 pictures he sent me as it looked a wreck. How gutted was I to later see the pics of your resto on it and to find all it had wrong really was a scrape down one side and those three vent holes cut!!!!

Youve also got two other vans which I was considering as well the Shop from Luke at Terrys beetles and that kemperink that used to have the palm trees on the side!!!

Hi Richard I was mailing Dawn a while back and she said she would let me have all the details so i could host the site for her and carry on her sterling work, although i lost her contact details and it all went to the backburner.

Her old bus was actually featured in a special issue of Camper and Commercial over here along with mine and the Rudolph bus.

If Dawn doesnt mind handing over the stuff i am more than happy getting the site up and running again, but if yuo want to host it i will send you all the details on the buses I have found in the last couple of years.

ive actually been offered near on twenty to buy in that time and wish I had bought a couple of them.

Yep. That one came from K & K in the Netherlands. I heard there was some paperwork issues with it and it sat at Port Huneme for quite awhile.

Same as mine and Brians. Swiss Postal.

Similar, but not the same Bus.
Also it's Marks' not Ray's.
Marks Highroof came from Hornbecker I believe.

Wondered where the one from Keiftenklok had gone I enquired about that one but didnt get a response back for months.

Theres a couple for sale on here at the minute one from a lady in paris which doesnt look too bad a bus at all. the other is a little rougher.

Was that one in gey primer and red if so it had my origional doors on the conversion. Amazingly was two vilages away from me here.

Was an ex swiss postal van hence the sliding doors and walkthrough. Mine is also Swiss but was a dressmakers van.

The origional wheels from mine are on another hightop which is in Blackpool and the old beam has just gone off to be narrowed to go on a 60s split.

Think dave still has another hightop in yellow unless hes sold it now.

Dave sold the other Postal Highroof.
I was interested in it right after I bought mine but the price Dave was telling me and the price he was telling my buddy that was going to pick it up were 2 different numbers so we never made a deal.
A year or so later I asked again, but after looking at a few pictures he sent me I immeadiately got a tetnus shot and passed on it.

It's in Europe still.

The fact that there are more of them accounted for now make me not "need" mine. I like 1 of a kinds or coachbuilts. I rather sell mine and buy a Highroof Salesflap to go in my Saleflap collection

The ones I can think of are:

Mine
Dave's other Yellowish one
The one in Florida (Brians)
The one recently listed for sale here on the Samba in the UK
The one now in Yuma.

Any others??
