| Car looks sweet, did you rub that down with linseed oil? Or did you buff it out? |

Buffed it with 1500 grit compound, and then waxed it. I also blended some of the paint. The front half of the hood was blended as well as the front part of the roof and decklid. Tower Paint does a great job color matching paint in spray cans. |

Your car turned out awesome! Love the skirts and the new ride height.
Just so you know I am placing the blame squarely on your shoulders for this entire fiasco: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=313193

I noticed from your interior picture that you have the ignition, the ashtray and another white knob. I have a hole on the side of the ashtray, and was wondering what was supposed to go there? Is that the choke?

I like how you got it on the road, and only made changes that are reversable. Real inspiration for getting Father's '64 on the road again.

How much coverage do you get from a can? What kind of preparation do you need? Thank you for mentioning this, because I would like to keep the original paint, and make it all look right (front has had repairs, and starting to fail, plus rock chips). |

| Nice... I have to ask where did you purchase the battery from, I've been told those are impossible to find? I need one for my 61. |
