Hey, thought i'd share my latest find, a original paint ruby red 67 Beetle. Bought it from the 2nd owner who had been storing it in a shed for the last 20 years. It has 77000 miles and was originally owned by an elderly couple. It has solid pans and channels which is rare up here were they salt the roads like crazy and the only real rust i could find is on the rear bumper mounts. I need to replace the front fenders as they are bondoed up 68 and later ones.

original 1500 which looks to have had a small fire, probably from the fuel filter over the dizzy, guess they didnt learn

Mint dash with locking hood pull

Nice find. Good luck with it. These "barn finds" are probably getting rarer and rarer, especially in the Northeast where I am (N.Y.State).

If you don't already know, the VIN number will tell you approximately when the car was made, and for 1967, being that its a transitional year, some things changed during the production run, such as rear bumper overriders etc.

Just Checked the vin 117549349 puts it late Jan of 67? It came with 2 sets of original keys and the key to the hood pull lock. Does anybody know if those locks were dealer accessory or if it was bought after and installed by the owner?, looks like a clean install. i know they were stock on verts so maybe the PO took it off of one?
