new guy here... I'm in afghanistan, and have a dead 91 jetta waiting for me when I get home in about 2 months. It's a 5 speed GL with the 1.8. Does anyone know where I can find xmsn removal instructions online. I just want to get an idea of how much of a pain in the backside this job is going to be. Replacing this clutch is not exactly what I want to do right after being gone for a year, but it's the only way I'll get my jeep back so my teenager can drive the jetta...life goes on.
thanks in advance for any assistance. |

I've not gone through all the various pages on the site I'll put a link to below, but there are a number of archived manuals and instructions for later model VWs. The site is actually russian, and much of the info is for non-US models, but you might find something you can use there. But it is bi-lingual and most of the technical info I've looked at there was in english. ( The best thing to do though is to buy the Bentley manual, of course. )

Thanks for the assist. I assume Bentley manuals are the way to go when it comes to VW's.?.? I'm used to the limited content of Chilton's and Haynes, but thought that was as good as it gets this side of dealer manuals. I'll check one out when I get home, and thanks for the link to get an idea of what's ahead.
Take it easy |

| Yes, the Bentley is the best book you can get for the VW. |
