| i would say 1 qt every 800-1000 miles might be normal for a vw with over 100k any thing less you might want to get it checked btw dont be a jiffy fool :lol: |

| I also have a Jetta wagon 5-speed and was having the exact same problem. I noticed if I put in 10w30, the oil would be low again after 1000 miles. What has finally cured it is using 5w30. I have not been low between oil changes for almost a year. It has been great. |

2.0 l engines from 99 and newer have a oil control piston rig problems but BUT BUT BUT that in extreme cases and since you say you go to jiffy lube thats probably your problem right there tose guys are morons believe me
and also you need to use 5w 40 motor oil |
