I was just wondering if the samba had a video section in the works where members could post how to vids and other videos for the other enthusiests? i would enjoy it.

Only threads like the one linked above.

At this time we don't have the server resources to add the hosting of clips. Google and YouTube are better prepared to handle that portion of it.

If I watch a youtube video that's linked in a thread on the Samba, does the bandwidth the Samba uses increase, or does the bandwidth come directly from youtube?

(hope that makes sense. I'm not a technical person)

It is from YouTube so you are using their bandwidth.

Our bandwidth was used to display the page that contains the link. This is not much bandwidth since it's just some text.

good enough. I was just thinkin that would be cool to have a whole video section but i understand it all cost money and resources. Hopefully sometime in the future Samba will have one. thanks

You can use the various "Video" threads in the Forums. We just can't support uploading at the present time.
