I have this part in the brake line that goes to the rear. I was told by the guy that sold the buggy to me that it adjusts the brakes from front to rear. All I can figure is that it restricts the rear brakes. The knob turns but doesn't appear to go up or down.
I'm a little suspicious and wondered if anyone had used this type of thing and had some comment:

Looks like a brake lock, a hydraulic parking brake. it should push in and hold the brakes after depressing the pedal.

| No wonder this dang thing doesn't have a parking brake. I was about to install one. Maybe I'll see how this works instead. I would prefer a cable, in case of fluid loss, but this can do for now if it works. |

| These are also fun to have going to the front brakes......Line lock and get rid of some excess rubber.... |

| that is a parking brake..you press the brake pedal down,then push down on the knob, then take your foot off of the brake pedal the brakes are now locked... to release just tap your brake pedal |

Please keep in mind that these "parking brakes" are for short term only. Overnight (or faster!) the system pressure can bleed off and result in NO parking brake. That is why OE parking brakes are always some sort of mechanical design.
