Just purchased a couple items from Maddy, they arrived well packed and intact. Good seller.

I have met Maddy a few times, he is a really neat guy with a ton of knowledge too. A good guy to do buisness with.

I bought and paid for a "new, perfect set" (his quote)of 1200 pistons and cylinders from this fellow. I asked there condition and was told "they were a ready to install" set, again his quote.
I kindly asked (as i have shipped parts all over the world and based my suggestion on that experience) if he would add piece's of cardboard in the orig box that would extend to the top of box between the cylinders, to protect the fins from damage .

If you have ever bought any new cylinders, you would/should know and be aware of the internal structure of box being a bit unsecure in fully protecting individual cylinders. When shipped, the cylinder fins can touch and break from being tossed about by the shipping gorillas.
They put the orig box in a box that just barely fit the original box in, no padding on the outside could be added to cushion internal box. When i opened the outer box after delivery, my heart sank, as i was expecting what i knew would have happened.

There they were, broken fins from not adding the protection i had suggested. When i took them out of the box and inspected them , i found that the cylinders had been rusty from exposure and they had used WD-40 (as some was still on them) in an attempt to clean the rust off. They did not succeed, there were visible, dark brown stains on more than one cylinder and they were large areas.

I will say he answerd my letters, but his disclosure fell terribly short. In particular, as it was internal and external cylinder rust and they are NOT ready to INSTALL, perhaps he would put them in that way, but that would never happen here.

I have yet to determine if they are usable, as i was disappointed and simply put them on my shelf.

I will also say they were a good deal, if they were as stated by him in answer to my follow up questions. Why he did not take heed to my suggestion in packing, is a mystery to me. I presented my info in clear simple terms..

I am writing this to encourage others to ask questions, he put's very little info in his ads. I hope you will be luckier than i was. He seem's nice, but i was not buying nice, i thought i was buying an installable set of 1200 P & C's. THANKS ANYWAY....
