Hey i just have some real basic questions.
Car in question is a 84 rabbit diesel, 4 door 4 speed...the real slow one.

1) exactly when should i be shifting this car, i usually shift into 3rd at about 22-25mph, fourth at 35-37 and ride fourth up to 55-60mph the fastest it can go.
It seems like im reving it high but from what the bently and people are saying it can rev up to 5.5k i just dont want to break something. Seems like im shifting to third and fourth when i hit 3000-3200.

2) what is the fastest you can go in this thing, i can only get up to 65 with no one in it. with two three people in it i can barely do 55....it is only 4 speed and it is four doors i guess.

3) is my clutch going or something......you can always hear the clutch spinning in there when the car is at idel when my foot is NOT on the clutch pedal. Now, when i depress the clutch pedal there is sometimes a delay usually half a sec or shorter from when the noice goes away, and i can shift. Basically its like i have to wait a half sec for the clutch to engauge after i floor the pedal, could be be a baring like a throw out baring or something or am i gonna have to put a new clutch in to fix this thing.

Thanks for any info you can give me.
