i have a early 55 beetle that the front has been pushed in.i brought it to a body shop and he said he would like two nice front fenders and a decent hood to try and line everything up when he pulls it out.
my question is will fenders and a hood work up to 66? i realize that the hood is not a four tab and the fenders will have a slightly different contour, but i just need something so he can line it up.after it has been pulled i will repair my hood and front fenders and have them match the fit to the car.i guess what i'm asking are the later fenders and hood to 66 a huge differece or will this work for me
thanks russ |

| I am pretty sure they will work. You see split window bugs for sale with early sixty's fenders on them, and a lot of 50's cars in not great shape with incorrect hoods. I would make an educated guess that it will be fine to use them to fix the front end. You could try calling Wolfsburg West or something too, they are usually really helpful and don't make you feel like an idiot. Good luck! |

to get the general pulling done, it should not be a problem. you will have to adjust everything anyway. I would reccomend getting the replacement parts straight first, and pull out the damage after the parts are able to be realigned.
Make the Shop throw it on the rack and get the measure ment points. That's why god made frame machines and pinch welds. lol |

Talus, if your body man needs the measurements to pull out the front of your 55, email me at christraciandclaire@attbi.com. I have them for front and rear.
One thing nobody here said is to use factory hood and fenders, even wrong year, for the fitting up. The aftermarket hoods are notoriously bad and don't fit properly even on a car that has never been hit.
