the purple notchback's engine is together! i just need to have my manifolds from CB Performace arrive so that i can tap them for the giggle gas and then install the deep sump after the engine is hung. nothing fancy here, just a 2110 w/75 shot for some bracket fun.

next up is getting the little bits of wiring for the n2o sorted and placed. the car will still see local driving, but the freeway use will end up limited as the tranny is no longer a stock box.

this is gonna be fun!

I thought you were gonna race the t34? = race/road/show car/sell?

vwfye Tue Feb 13, 2007 12:05 pm

i stated awhile back on the outlaw 343 thread that i was no ongger going to turn the 343 into a racer... it is quicker and less $ for me to turn the notch into a racer, so this is what i chose to do.

Hey brian do you want that Flat four shifter I can ship it to you once I get to The rogue valley. I'm pretty set on the Gene Berg shifter but that will go in the Type 34. Thats right I finally found one granted it took trading the bus but it is worth it

vwfye Tue Feb 13, 2007 12:19 pm

sure... i'm still curious as to how that f4 shifter failed on ya... i hvae had mine in my car for forever now.

I don't understand it either it was all good then about 200 miles from vegas it just took a dump but now I have a stock unit in the car and it is shifting great.

You people and your aftermarket crap....

That shifter matched my Empi GTV steering wheel perfectly I will be buying another for this car but that is on hold while I get ready to trade my 67 bus for a 62 t34

alex608 Tue Feb 13, 2007 7:36 pm

glad to see you got back. did you get my call?

67stang302 Tue Feb 13, 2007 7:41 pm

Not Home yet it is snowing on my route home right now so I have to wait till tomorrow morning to head back home.

vwfye Tue Feb 13, 2007 11:03 pm

yeah... before you give me the shifter, let me look at it and see what is up. i might be able to save it for you

67stang302 Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:22 am

Good deal buddy. PM an address to ship that to you

67stang302 Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:29 am

what are the plans on the Type 34?

vwfye Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:32 am

find some required parts and roll it as a driver

67stang302 Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:40 am

Let me know what you need I'm working on a trade for a 62 type 34 and will have some extra parts. Plus I will be driving across the country with a flat bed in two months so if there is stuff you need picked up let me know.

vwfye Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:43 am

i'm in need of only 2 'major' things at this point i think... front windshield seal and right door window assembly.

67stang302 Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:53 am

I will ask around with some of my connections on the east coast. But if you find anything between here and kings port I will pick it up for you cause shipping a windsheild is risky

vwfye Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:55 am

i have the windshield, just no seal... so i can't even park it outside in wet weather

No good is the type 34 the same window seal profile as the sqaure back windsheild if so I have a guy that will make you a seal out of some other seals for probly under 50 bucks I'll talk to him when I get back to town

vwfye Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:12 am

that is where the confusion lies... i have been told both yes and no to the crossection of the rubber being the same. i don't even have a rotting sample of the t34 rubber to reference. we need to talk about this in PMs
