| that's okay... i am going to have the pipes routed properly... i've let kymco know my concerns, told them if they have the piping properly routed in the future i would be more than happy to try again. but, until then, i believe this is an inferior design based on what is done for a type 1 engine that blows cooling air down over the cylinders instead of across them. |

| Your "header mock up" in your photobucket made me realize these engines must be powering experimental aircraft!? Elsa Pataky :o |

the sad part is the engine is STOCK width! that is what is sooo frustrating. i am going to fab up some lower tin to fit around the header. mark, if it comes out okay, do you want a set? |

| thanks man! let me know what he says about the stuff... if i build the lower tin, it will really only work with this specific header and size... 1.5" kymco t3 header. if i like it, will produce more for folks if they are interested. this might be away to raise some 'money for the gas tank to go racing' money. |

| Brian, I'd be interested to see what you come up with. My system is a 1 5/8" though. Don't know if it matters. And you're right. For a stock width engine you shouldn't have to "convince" it so much. :? But then I've been wrestling with repop bumper over-riders and headlight retainers myself lately. |

well, almost a year to the day the engine is finally going into the car... it is amazing how life can get in the way.
anyhow, this is a major hurdle being cleared and with the trans/nosecone/shifter issues also being address this saturday, the car will finally be back on the ground after holding the jack stands down for a year  |

i'm very frutstrated as this is my last free saturday until June. now it looks like the racer won't hit the track until august at the earliest. i'm ready to just throw in the towel, sell everything, and buy an econobox to commute in.
here is the engine, without the NOS nozzles installed, and where it will probably continue to sit for the next 6 months.

put the car on the traile to check how that would go with the low nose. no bad sounds going up! the tilt is nice to use!!! as soon as the speedster vacates the garage for a few afternoons, the notch will get some serious 'work on' time! woot!!!

| well, i'm off to get about a dozen little things for the 2110 to race car install. if i find them all today, the engine should back in tonight. i even found the 'lost' kep pressureplate today. i think it disappeared after the trans issue happened and i was a bit perturbed. anyway. finally! |

augh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't like the dizzy that's on the engine (for race reasons) and i can't find my spare 009s. between that and the pressure plate bolts that i could find, i'm finally about there.
got to raid the 1904 of the nippondenso alternator tonight and then i think i'm at the point of adding the new TO bearing and then the engine again. i hope that with some fresh fuel tomorrow and a batter recharge i can at least fire it off again. the neighbors will appreciate that the muffler is now on there. |
