Check the ad today in Samba, wheels/ tires, for repro BRMs at $70 each from INDONESIA....Anybody ever heard of seller bedjo78....smells like fish to me!! Plus what do you think the shipping would be even if this is the straight up.

kokomo808 Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:43 am

I was just thinking of that. Its one of thoose "sounds to good to be ture"? Wonder if they're seconds with blems

jays58s Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:51 am

I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught that. At that price you can get 2 sets anywhere else! Let me know if anyone finds out any info on the seller, I would buy a set if that is true!

I dont think I would be sending anybody in Indonesia $70 for anything without them having a mile long GOOD reputation......I think Ev should be checking this one out!

jays58s Thu Feb 15, 2007 12:10 pm

I think so too! I wonder what some of the vendors here think of that ad?

Mango Juice Thu Feb 15, 2007 12:24 pm

maybe the vendors contracts ran out....making the wheels availble to anyone direct from manufacturer???

jays58s Thu Feb 15, 2007 12:39 pm

I doubt that, but it would be nice huh!

Twiggy Thu Feb 15, 2007 2:40 pm

Just saw that ad myself. seems too good to be true.

mikewarner Thu Feb 15, 2007 6:34 pm

I emailed to find out more - they could not provide any references as they are "just starting" to sell the wheels.

Shipping to Toronto, Canada is $450 which puts a damper on the good deal.

Looks like CIP1 would be the way to go on these......

We got this reply;
For your info'

For purchase 100 ea and up the price would be $60/ea

Sea freight to US
For 22 ft container it will cost about $3300 - $3600
22 ft can load 900-1000 BRM's

LCL (less container loaded )= US 130-160 /CBM
(approximate) depend on what is port destination.
Volume of 1 piece BRM is = 0.50 X 0.50 X 0.2 =
0.05CBM

No, we don't have Web site

thank you
kind regards
Muz

indonesia is the worst place you could send money. i know a few people that have got scammed from indonesia.
at my work we also get an order a week for 20 msd boxes or
20 sets of ida carbs
and no one ever complaines that they never get the parts with the bogus credit card. i tell them to wire us the $$ and you never hear back.

i have to say stay away from that deal
ha ha

I think what he is saying is no middle Man "mark up price" BUT nothing on quality of rims and if they even meet US standards. Could be 2nds or 3rds? they only state any color

that's funny :D i think they might be mws 'cause pic of the sticker on the box states the size is 5.5 and the word colour. aren't the flat-4 5" wide?

He wants to sell a sea container of them? Well, that's about 896 more BRM's than I really need.

Besides, sending money to Indonesia is risky. I much prefer to buy my parts from the deported widows of late Nigerian generals.....

I seen that ad today. Is anyone going to do business with this guy? Im looking for BRM's and this deal sounds too good to be true

henrym Mon Mar 05, 2007 6:31 pm

I don't think anyone here is going to take the bait. I ordered mine on Friday from VeeDub Parts Unlimited (great to deal with).
