I was just wondering if a normal tire could be fitted onto the spacesaver spare wheel from a porsche? I'm talking about the tire that unfolds when you inflate it.

I'd like to find out before my buddy goes and cuts one up like an idiot, just to see what the wheel looks like on the inside.

Thanks!

The manual says have it repaired and remounted; do I just always carry a garbage bag and throw it behind the front seats? I assume I can't mush the hood down with a regular wheel in place of the spacesaver.
