Been working on it for 3 days now. YES! I did all the searches and downloaded all the sites. I'm not comp stupid so its making me more pissed. I get the pic down to 7k on infranview but when I save the picture it saves as 22k. what's goin on.

I appreciate it Glenn and I will but I still would like to know how to do it myself. I'm sure you can appreciate that lololol. Plus I'm sure there are a lot of other guys out there with my prob.

I did all of that. I downloaded the Xp resizing, Infranview and none of them work. I mean they work but I'm like the rest of the guys who were on here and obviously some of them still havent figured it out lolol. No matter how small I resize its still more than 7k.

Go to www.fookes.com and use their easy thumbnail program.
It's free, and so easy to use that anyone can use it.

Also, if you have a VW related picture that you would like to use as your avatar, you can upload the picture to the Samba Gallery. Once you do that, you can use the thumbnail as your avatar.

You can either save the image and then upload to your profile (using Upload Avatar from your machine) or just enter the url (right click the photo, click properties, and copy the URL) right into the box on your profile (Upload Avatar from a URL).

Use whatever works for you. Mine may look complicated, but it is really pretty easy. Glad you got it figured out.
