Thanks.
Started working on it again. Found some high spots that need to be addressed to get rid of the oil can effect in this corner.
Then I'll bump out the low spot and see how it looks.
(edit) I guess its time to drill and tap those broken gate hinge screws too. |

Sanded the primer off this corner, started bumping out the creases and low spots around a big dent then did some shrinking, and more hammering. it's getting closer but still need to use the stud welder to pull a couple of low spots and more shrinking. This one was really stretched out of shape, but it's within a 1/16" now. I want it to be a lot better than that before moving on to the next panel. Notice the lack of rust even though its been in primer for over two years? God I love Arizona....and self etching primer.

I have been looking at your amazing project. And I too have a dbl-cab driver project. I've had it two years in Dec and just realized I don't have but a couple of pics of "Mr Ugly"! It is a 66 original, still 6 volt og engine and plenty of areas that need attention. I believe your build will serve as a good detail for help I need on my bud projects. Thanks for the great detail of ypour build[/img] |
