anyone care to recommend a performance wheel/tire combo. i would like to keep the 5 bolt pattern and nothing wider than a 215 tire.
thanx! |

is she roadworthy? if so come on out thursday nights to the local VW hangout.
www.bltnvw.com (no its not a late model only club  ). check the site, see the pics, read/post in the forum.
for wheels and tires, any of the popular aftermarket wheels would look fine on that car. i myslef prefer raders, gas burners and fuchs (in that order). for tires, how about some 195/60s (or 50s if your really low) for the front and some 205/75 (i think that the size) for the rear. or 195s all the way around would work well too. |

i dont know, ive only seen 15s, which i prefer on bugs, i dont go for the big wheel look like on modern imports. try randee at randar wheels or pete at airkewld, i know pete stocks bigger then 15in wheels...randee might too. |

something like 98% of all aftermarket wheels for the vw are 15s...same size as stock.
any place that sells any of the popular wheels will have 15s. |

Here is my 66 with BRM's (replicas). I know they do make 6 inch wide wheels if you want something beefier in the rear.
