Hey... I have a quick question. On the Porsche 914, which model/models came with the "PORSCHE" decal on the lower portion of each side? Was this a dealer option? A special model designation? Thanks for the help.

Only the Limited Edition or LE came with the stripes. Afterwards, it became a dealer option.
This is a Creamsicle and there is a Black and yellow one too. Less than one thousand were made to commerate Porsche's CanAm victorys/Title in 73.

| Thanks. Well, I have a '72 914. I am not sure what model it is, I suppose a VIN number might help right? Well, it is blue and has "PORSCHE" in black lettering on the bottom of both sides. Any more information on these cars? |

A 72 model came with different trim levels with black or body colored bumpers being the basic model.
Chrome bumpers and better alloy wheels was the appearance package.
72 came with 80hp 1.7L engines.
