Have my 68' 912 with a really hammered door. I found a 69' donor door, but am curious if the wheelbase change in those years, also changed the door lengths/widths??? Will it be a direct bolt on gig, or do I need to fab it in there to fit???? Thanks

Its a direct bolt-on. The inside door handle is different but you will be able to change out the parts. All doors fit from 66 to 89. After 73 the quarter window was made to not open. From 74 on, I believe that black was the standard color for the window frame(chrome was a S.O.)

You might have to move the front fender around to get the correct front gap. You will have to tweek the strikers. They were "hand-finished" so each is slightly different

2 1/4 inches was added to the trailing arms(and q panels) to deal with SWB problem of over-steering. Truth be told, the 911 engine came in 90lbs over expected weight, this caused the SWB cars to be too tail heavy. Porsche tried to fix this by adding 25lbs to the ends of the front bumper. In 69 they took off the weights and add the lenth to the body. 912 dont have the same problem because of their lighter engines.
