Here is the car I am building, and its current state. I had bought this car a few years go, lost interest in it, but some how got it back. I plan on builidng a mild baja out of it. 6" wider beam 3x3 rear arms. FOA shocks for the front and rear. Cage, fiberglass baja front, and on and on. so here are some pictures of the first day.
a few hours later, here it is. Looking better already!

ordered some adjusters, and widened the beam. I used a piece of tubing that was the same outter diamater of the beam, but pretty thick wall. I put the pieces on the lathe, and turned them down so they would fit inside the adjusters tightly, then welded it all up.

then it came time for the roll cage. I had to cut 2 1/4 inches off the front legs to clear my sunroof. other than that, it fit pretty good!

| Looks great!!! Hey are you finished with the roll cage? I noticed you don't have and diagonal bars on the rear section of your cage? The nose and tilt bumper look good tho!! Keep it up! |

So, I made some 3x3 rear arms, used some FOA shocks for the rear. Front end is wider now too. Its a slow project.

I recently picked one up of those tilt bumpers also. Haven't attached it yet. Got any extra photos of how you mounted it? Holding mine up it didn't look like everything would fit very well... I got mine for a good price also, so I guess maybe I need to just MAKE it work.
Thanks |
