anyone know where i can get a pair of vent window/door glass dividers? other than bfy. i searched the classifieds and found nothing. thanks

Cause its sexy as hell, hahaha.

My guess is mainluy to fit under the decklid, because if you put it the other way, the exhaust would be directly over the alternator. just a guess tho. I know the reason its so high up, is mainly so that the oil can drain properly, and not back up casuing it to smoke like crazy. Atleast thats the problem with mine, lol:

But i plan to fix that soon. Keep posting pics of your progress. I'm lovin it. 8)

got most of the body work done today. sanded it all, and finished most of the body filler. I kinda like it without fenders.

You can buy the glass dividers, vent wings, latches and seals brand new from Wolfsburg West in CA. Very decent reproductions. They have everything you need for stock parts

Nice car man!!! Can you post some pics of the 3x3s you built, i would like to see them. I have 3x3s now and i am thinking about going with some "home-made" 3x5s and all that goes with that.......

fronts are 7.00 x 15 yokohamas. rears are bf at`s. 33 x 9.5

I don't know if Pocatello Id Is to far ,but there is a guy on here that I got my vent windows from. He bought out a guy who had a going out of business glass shop ,and has a lot of vw glass ,and parts. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=21115

sprayed the final primer on sunday. just need to block it out and paint it! Then I will start putting it all together.

ordered an intake for the turbo/sidedraft. that should be here this week. I think I have all the parts I need. Still have to get brake lines, but that should be it.

from what i was told by a dude from wolfsburg west is that when cutting out the wing window divider makes it very, very difficult to go back to stock windows w/ wing windows. me and a friend ran into a dude at the last pomona swap meet that said he had all kinds of complete doors for al different years. i will get the number tonight and post it up.

How did you widen the front? Did you just add in the tubing you mention, and if so what did you do for wider torsion bars?

slapped some paint on it today. It turned out pretty nice. I should be able to start putting it together Saturday.

kinda off topic but i was looking at your pics and id have to say you sure have a whole lotta nuthing around you!!!! i can almost see the curve of the earth! hahahaah, bugs looking good though

It is rather flat here. But the mountains and dunes are only a few hours away! the long and flat stuff is fun with the snow though.
