View original topic: Rare,Vintage,Well Documented Westfalia trailers. Whats UP?

So let me guess. "Westfalia Werkes" just lost their lease on that 20,000,000,000,000 acre, vintage trailer "storage lot" and now they are liquidating all that old "junk".

I mean seriously ONE vintage trailer with it's "Nazi" paperwork would be impressive but how come EVERY vintage Westfalia trailer is suddenly pristine, and well documented into the 40's-50's,(yeah and the 1930's ocassionally)?!

And WHY are there so many of them? Your hard pressed to find a CAR of the same vintage in as nice a condition (out of presumably, rusty,Germany) and the "Nazi" doc's would be "golden" and considered a real find,(in my opinion).

It was a GIANT underground secret bunker that was heated and had palm trees, tanning beds and a full size water park with slides!

Since they "tore down the wall" they've been,(secretly of course),considering stopping heating the giant bunker of Westy trailers.FINALLY in mid-late 2006 the heat was turned off and all those cherry, well preserved trailers had to go SOMEWHERE...I bet that's it....

Enlighten me,I'm feelin' stupid.....The only way could feel worse would be to pay $750 for a vintage Westy trailer without the "Nazi PAPERS" that needed a little work.I mean those things are EVERYWHERE!!!!

Don't get me wrong,I'd love to have one.Even if it didn't have Documentation ,and it had a dent or two in it......
