howzit i have a 73 thing and it likes to blow so smoke.sometime when i start it it dose not do it and other time she bellows smoke.It dont really smoke while im driving. I dont know mady you do.

What color smoke? Bluish is oil (worn rings or really worn valve guides) black is way too rich of a mixture (choked or mis-jetted engine) I'd pull the spark plugs and see what they look like. While they are out, you might try a compression test and see how good that is. |

its more of a white smoke i changed the plugs and it's a little oily so i think its a piston ring ? maby |

Oil smoke is basically white with a bluish tint. Similar to tobacco or ermm, "other" smoke. Dig? ;) |
