| 79 rabbit, won't start, has spark and will start if starting fluid is sprayed into T-body. Key-on the fuel pump doesn't prime but runs with engine cranking. OK tried jumping terminals at fuel pump relay only to find a harness which eliminates L14 has been installed. Said harness connects to traditional fuel pump relay (just looks like someone has tried to pull power from another source). After I figured this out I was able to install my jumper wire and power up the fuel pump. I then proceeded to the engine bay where I disconnected the fuel line out of the filter into the fuel distrubutor and proceeded to spill gasoline onto my garage floor! Decided to stop here while the fuel evaporates. So that being said, is there anyway to check the fuel distributor? Is this likely to be the problem? And i thought the dual carbs on my squareback were difficult |

Easy Peasy
pop the injectors out of the head with the lines still on them.
hang them into the top of a 1 gal glass (pickle) jar.
remove the boot from the top of the fuel distributor.
take a pencil magnet and stick it to the bolt head in the center of the plate.
energize the fuel pump
list the plate with the magnet.
This will allow you to verify the operation of the fuel distributor and check the spray pattern of the injectors.
