Alright here's the story; I bought custom headlights with the fog light in the light housing, then bought the euro headlight switch, and also bought the fog light wiring kit..... now what?

I plugged the headlight in and the only thing that works is the blinker. I figured out that the wires are just in the wrong place so they don't match up. I'm sure i can figure out how to switch the wires around to the right places but I'm a little confused about this whole fog light wiring kit. HOw will it hook into the headlight switch? what are all the functions of the 7 positions of the headlight switch?

HELP!!!! :? :?

I would assume the vendor you bought the 'wiring kit' from should be able to help.....I'd start there. 8)

I would go a step further and assume you bought the kit, the switch and the wiring kit from the same vendor at the same time.

Some of the Euro-positions include a genuine "off" position so that the car can be engaged with the hand brake off and the headlights do not come on. They probably have a rear fog light setting, too -- something few US cars have and fewer drivers know how to use properly.

I wish I could offer more help. Make sure the parts you have are compatible with each other and are hooked up correctly as per the instructions. Also, make sure you don't need Euro-spec tail lights.

Go over to http://www.vwvortex.com and do a search over there. There are bound to be many people over there who have done the same install.
