I just got my right rear corner from monkey nuts out of N.C. , looks awsome and cant wait to weld it in , the amazing thing was is it took a day and a half to get shipped to Fl, thats what I call service ... wish all componies were like this .......The funky green panel was pricey but fits perfect !

Just keep chanting "whole nose, whole nose....." But seriously folks, I am somewhat nervous to announce on the internet that I was psyched to see a package from Bogota on my porch today. Thanks Gerson! 8)

I just received a drivers side rear wheel arch for my '71 bay. On preliminary inspection, it looks like it will do just fine. The only thing lacking now is my bodywork skills. (oh yeah and time.) I will probably get a pro to fit it.

Well it seems many await the day when self installing body panels are invented :P

So Mr. G.... how about a current off the top of your head summary of items available now from you for baywindow buses and trucks?, it seems they aren't all listed on the websites dealing with them yet, I realize website updates are a pain so maybe this thread can be your best advertising? (already seems that way for bay owners) Any mention of current split panels you could modify in shop (for a price of course) to work with bay would also be nice, especially for us truck people, I'm personally not scared of sheet metal but others are and your guys do it every day so an accurate pre hammered seam or bend here would be money well spent.

Gerson,
Is there any plans for making replacement rear vent window frames?

Just this month we expanded our selection of premium quality Bus replacement metal, both from the UK (AH Schofield / Just Kampers) and VW themselves. Many have not been available in the U.S. before, at least in this quality. They are now on our site. Among them are replacements for the areas under the side windows in your picture:

Anyone use or have opinions on any of the metal from Auto Craft Engineering out of the UK?

Another nice idea would be BA6 heater halves made out of stainless.

You ROCK!!!

There's an online store in Australia that has started stocking repop panels. problem is I don't know who manufactures them and when I asked whether the corrugated floor sections match a late bay I got no reply. Well, the rust through areas are on the tops of the corrugations so I suppose some metal, patience and an angle grinder will see me through that. Not sure what I'll do about the crushed bottom of the vertical rib on the RH just behind the seat bulkhead though. the bottom has been squashed and torn away from the floor. I can't cut it out so maybe a patch over the crushed bit welded in.

don't know about auto craft, but i have used Schofield for a battery tray in my 71 single cab. i was going to butcher a gerson tray, but didn't have the heart

the fit was perfect, but i had to drill a drain hole in it, and the captive nut that holds the battery hold down got a bead of weld around it, beacuse as my luck goes i would go to take the battery out and the bastard would spin. other than that, it was right on the money

Outstanding as usual Mr. G., that's one fantastic piece of metalwork, bravo!, very impressive!
Once again you've rendered another bus or two in my parts yard worth restoring, damn..... maybe I could sell a kidney?

When outer cargo floor patch panels become available I'll really be screwed :P
