| That's a big question - what model/wheel are you referring to? Some were 38mm, some were 45mm - and that's just through the mid 80's. The offset is stamped on most factory rims. (ET45, for example) |

That was kinda vague on my part. I looking for the offset of a set of teardrops that would have come on a 92 cabriolet. The stamping you mentioned, can you give me location?
Thanks |

| The part number, size and offset info was cast into aluminum wheels and stamped into steel wheels, near the lug holes. on a 'teardop' wheel, you don't see that info when the center cap is in place. |

| All of the wheels listed for a 1992 Cabriolet at TireRack had a 38mm offset. I checked 14-inch and 17-inch diameter wheels. I wish I had an owner's manual to be sure but TireRack usually sticks with manufacturer's specs with offset. If you need to be absolutely without question sure, call a local VW dealership and speak with someone in the parts department. |
