I like those fenders. Reminds me of my old bug. Man I miss it.
Nice ride! |

i wish the very strict trend of just empi's/fuchs/earlies etc would leave us alone. it gets boring when most vw's at a show have the same wheels. |

Sorry Bryan but I've got to agree with Sioux on this one. Ever since guys have been customizing their cars the one thing that was the easiest to do to alter the look of your blue (whatever here) over the next one was to change the wheels. But not for the ACVW.
Yeah you could put Fuchs of one design or another on it but they weren't after market wheels the were Porsche factory wheels. Yes eventually Empi 5 and 8 spokes came out and others but most aren't appealing to todays ACVW driver, oh yeah and most were ugly as snot. They were usually magn. or alum. or some ugly alloy and very rarely ever chrome.
I've got a set of old Centerline bubble fronts on my 68 I'm replacing with an old set of ATSs right now because I think the Centerline look sucks and I like the ATS look better, and truth be told I'd love to put a show chrome finish on them too.
I've seen plenty of ACVWs with Centerlines on them and a couple with ATSs on them but I've only seen this one car with this set of wheels on it so in my mind this ride definately has the most unique look. |

If I am not mistaken, those look like some old (3+ years) wheels made by MKW (dont remember the rim name)... though not being made any more, but close copies are either the Veloche Versio, or the ION 114... If either one of those are still being made  ... good luck in finding them, its a 3+ year old style that has been long gone? ](*,)... that wheel style was a real popular truck rim about 5 years ago, and ALOT of companies made variations of it... the one on the bug is a FWD (front wheel drive) version |

| You can sell me your Centerlines then. 15`s are where its at. And always will be. Some thing are just meant to be and VW`s with big chrome wheels are just wrong (To me at least). Even on a new car, I cannot stand anything more than a 20. It just looks silly. Need I remind you of the donk, box and bubble craze? When does it stop? And don`t even get me started on airbags.... |

I would but I traded them off to my mechanic for some work, he wanted the fronts for his 4 seat rail. I agree the giant wheel thing is getting tired and on most vehicles looks like shit but I think a VW that's lowered just right and narrowed just right looks good with a wheel up to about 18.
As a matter of fact now that I look closer to these they look almost like a wide 5 wheel. The center has the 5 spoke look to it. As long as a wheel is aesthetically pleasing on a vehicle I say run it. |

I like 'em because they're different, not the aforementioned overly-done usual rims.
Really fine bug, with or without the rim job  |

| I would of ran some sort of five spokes but, it looks good. The rhd is really nice, but chuck the headrests. |

It's certainly possily they are legally required to keep the "head rests" in whatever country they are in. It really annoys me when everybody is trying to convert their late model seats to "lowbacks." They are a damn safety feature people! |

Safety is over-rated. :D |
