Hello there!! I'm new at this site and i like i already :D .
I'm from The Netherlands and an member of the keversite youve probably heard of it ;)
Sinds an year i'm totaly hooked onto the Aircooled VW Scene and i do'n this there wil be a cure... I'm a little longer adicted to the old VW waterheaters scene (models before 1983 ;) )
I'm restauring an Volkswagen FT Bonito.
Its an Kitcar made in Germany in the late 60's early 70's. People say it has the basic looks of an Ford GT40 but many disagre (mostly in de US :lol:) It's build on an Bug chassis of 1968 and the fiberglass body has been put on in 1972. The chassis is almost completed and than its time for the fiberglass. It's powerd by an type 4 aircooled engine 2 liters CU (don't know the cubic inch ;)) 2 dual webber carburaters 44mm (11 23/32 inch?? 10mm is 2.54inch do the math)
I also own a VW Golf MK1 GTi (rabbit i think in the US)
Its the last model that rolled of the line (pirelli). I've owned this car sinds my 16th birthday (now 22)
your drivers licence comes at 18 in holland!

Welcome. That FT Bonito looks like it will be a fun build...
Very nice GTI, too! I had a MK2 GLI (big-bumper 2.0 16v) which I had a love affair with (hence my screen name), but have recently sold. The P slots always look nice on a GTI...

Thnx everyone!!! There are a total of 1000 Bonito's build. In Holland there are 100 known to exist probably more but they haven't reported in yet ;)

There are a couple Bonito's in the US aswell
Canada The flag is not correct ;)
