| i have an 87 golf GTI 16 valve and i need some help. for some reason the charging system is not charging. i thought it was the regulator so i bought a new one and that was not it. so i bought a new remanufactured bosch altenator and that was not it. i have no idea what to do now. i checked all the wires and everything seems ok but i am baffeled. any suggestions? |

| get the battery tested for free. most auto parts stores will do it. If the battery won't hold a charge, then it won't charge right? |

| Or if you got AAA they have a battery program that they come out and test your system and if you need one they can replace your battery. The test is a good system if it's working ( I used to do it). We actually used it in the garage when the snapon machine was being used. |
