| Ok so I bought a 71 super beetle from my friend for $400. I also have a 70 chevy pickup so the bug was just supposed to be a very cheap driver. Well now I want to have some fun with it but I know a super doesn't make a good baja. What all would be involved in converting it to a standard beam? Can I just get a pan from a standard and just cut my trunk and get a standard fiberglass front end then? Or will my super body not fit a standard pan? What about wealding in the pan section from a beam car into my super pan? I have the knowledge of welding and all that but am still new to VW's so I am unsure of the pan differences. |
