| i have just blown my generator and i have a almost new one in my garage, (doesn't work) so i took it apart and cleaned meticulousle and used a ohmmeter to thest that all of the wires are unbroken, checked all of the brushes and windings, and it wont generate power. any help is appreciated. |

Try this simple checkup process - it will tell you if the generator, regulator or battery is faulty and also describes "polarising" a generator which has been sitting around and lost it's magnetism.

| try polerizing it first, just power it off the battery like a electric motor positive to the large terminal and negitive to the ground and to the body of the gen. |
